In collaboration with ENGIE Laborelec Chile, DroneGrid deployed its Aerial Intelligence Platform to perform automated inspections of solar sites – in northern, Chile.
DroneGrid’s platform for solar energy producers creates significant efficiencies across their entire value chain during the construction, inspection and maintenance process.
According to Dr. Elias Urrejola, Lead Solar Expert, ENGIE Laborelec Chile – “With DroneGrid’s automated solar PV panel inspection solution we were able to survey the PV plant within hours in an efficient and accurate way. Given the remoteness of the site and the different failures present in a PV plant, the platform gives us a much better overview and supported our understanding into the characterization of anomalies in our plant. This was crucial for us-, in order to fine-tune the maintenance process and boost the monitoring of the PV plant normally done by the onsite team.”
